KitKat Android 4.4.2 Rom Available For Samsung Galaxy Siii GT-I9300 Official

 

Samsung Galaxy S3 owners can now experience the very first custom ROM based on the most recent Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

According to International Business Times, users of Samsung Galaxy S3 owners can now install Android 4.4.2 KitKat update on their smartphone, thanks to the popular AOKP Team Kang. The Android developer has recently released the AOKP ROM based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Furthermore, the post reads, "As this is a nightly ROM, it features the latest bug fixes and feature enhancements for a stable KitKat experience with your phone."

The Samsung Galaxy S3 originally runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, as posted on GSM Arena. An official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update is also available for the device. However, those who are adventurous enough when it comes to their Android experience can opt to install the custom AOKP ROM based on Google's latest mobile OS, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

The AOKP ROM is particularly compatible with Samsung Galaxy S3 bearing the model number GT-I9300. Before installing the custom firmware, make sure that you have to correct variant of the Galaxy S3 to avoid issues later on. Check the model specification of your Samsung Galaxy S3 by going to Settings > About Phone > Model Number.
